10G Module with Adapter Heat Dissipation Verification

ISP 5G/6G | Datacenter / Networking / Telecom

In response to elevated summer temperatures, the outdoor server cabinet experiences a rise in temperature, causing the module to surpass its designated operating temperature and leading to frequent system alarm activations.

Plan

Plan

Using the adapter to optimize heat dissipation capability. Lower the operating temperature of the module rising in the heat. Extend the lifespan of the module.

Do

Do

Thermal flow meter to simulate ambient temperature (45°C). Heating plate to simulate equipment temperature (80°C). Check the temperature: module, equipment, and ambient environment.

Check

Check

Continuously record temperature fluctuations. Observe the temperature difference of the module before and after improvement.

Result

Result

The adapter effectively reduces the temperature rise on the module by at least 10°C. Verify the heat dissipation capacity of the adapter mechanism.

Plan

Integrating the adapter to enhance heat dissipation capacity aims to mitigate the module's temperature elevation in high-temperature environments.

EXP1

Experimental conditions

Experimental conditions:

Heating plate set to 80°C

Thermal flow meter 45°C

Experimental conditions Data Table

Following 8 hours of testing, the adapter has demonstrated its efficacy by reducing the temperature increase on the module by more than 10.79°C, thus confirming its effectiveness.

EXP2

Experimental conditions2

Experimental conditions:

Heating plate set to 95°C

Thermal flow meter 45°C

Experimental conditions Data Table2

Following 8 hours of testing, the adapter has demonstrated its efficacy by reducing the temperature increase on the module by more than 27.36°C, thus confirming its effectiveness.

Result

The adapter effectively lowers the module's increasing operating temperature by a minimum of 10°C, validating the heat dissipation capability of the adapter mechanism.
